SCAM Public Utility Bill Calls

Springfield Residents:
It has come to the attention of the City of Springfield that there are calls being made to local residents in regards to their Public Utility bills.  The caller does have an accent and a local Springfield, MN phone number shows on the Caller ID.  This phone number is not used by the City of Springfield, MN. 
If you receive one of these calls, do not answer their questions.
Springfield Police Department is also aware of the situation.
