Springfield Police Investigator- Full Time

The City of Springfield, MN is accepting applications for a Full-Time Police Investigator.

In addition to performing the normal duties of a Patrol Officer, the Investigator is responsible for complex investigative and administrative work: assisting in training officers, providing technical direction regarding investigations, recommending department policies, ensuring proper evidence handling, ensuring reports are filed accurately and in a timely manner, etc. This position must be able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team and display effective communication skills. This position assumes the duties of Chief in that person’s absence.

Applicants must possess

  • MN P.O.S.T. license or be eligible for license 
  • Valid MN driver’s license
  • Five years of full-time experience as a P.O.S.T. licensed Police Officer
  • Must pass medical and psychological examination and all P.O.S.T. Board required training.

Current pay range is $31.17-$40.00 depending on experience.
